Trend-Now Package 3Days/2Nights

DAY 1:

07.00am, Registration at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) in Sembalun Village (1.051 m) and briefing describes the route details, explains rubbish management and safety procedures. The trek starts from Sembalun Village with a gentle ascent walking through open grassland used as cattle grazing by local people. Resting at Pos 1 Pemantauan (1.300 m), after about three hours from Sembalun we reach Pos 2 Tengengean (1.500 m) and enjoying the beautiful views of Mt. Rinjani’s summit (3.726 m). After another hours ascent to Pos 3 Pada Balong (1.800 m), we take rest here for have a lunch and a fresh or hot drinks. After lunch and a rest, we continue the steep 3,5 hours to Plawangan Sembalun crater rim (2.639 m), climb admist the pine like Casuarina species locally known as Cemara, perhaps seeing evidence of wild pigs and the long-tailed grey macaque monkeys to the camp site at Plawangan Sembalun crater rim. From here enjoying the incredible views; as the sunset, we can see Segara Anak Lake, Sembalun Village, the Summit of Mt. Rinjani and all the way to Mt. Agung in Bali. Dinner and stay overnight in the camp site followed by the night sounds.

 DAY 2:

02.00 am, Wake up and have a light breakfast. 03.00 am, Start is necessary for the hard three-hours climb to the Mt. Rinjani’s Summit (3.726 m) on volcanic screen. Once there, enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Mt. Agung Bali and Sumbawa and down to the lake Segara Anak (2.000 m) within the new cone active volcano of Gunung Baru (2.351 m). After sunrise, return down the ridge passing numerous Edelweiss plants to the crater rim camp site for a well-deserved breakfast. It takes three hours down the steep trail to the crater lake Segara Anak (2.000 m) and have lunch on the way of the trek to the lake camp site, where the rest of day is spent relaxing.There is plenty of time to enjoy hot springs, walk only 10 minutes from the camp site. Dinner and stay overnight in the lake side camp site.

 DAY 3:

After breakfast at 06.30 am, leave lake for the two hours steep ascent up to Plawangan Senaru crater rim (2.641 m). Observe the view of the lake from the other side. From Plawangan Senaru crater rim are sweeping views across the lake Segara Anak to the summit of Mt. Rinjani. Within the crater, Gunung Baru is an active volcano, last erupting dramatically in 1994. On clear evening the Gili Isles, Bali and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west. After enjoy the spectacular views from Plawangan Senaru crater rim, continue to descend down the long trail to Senaru Village (601 m), throught first grassland then back into the shade of tropical forests rich in flora, bird life and a variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as Lutung. Lunch and rest stops are taken along the way. After seven hours walk from the rim or five hours from Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak, the trek ends at the road head in Senaru Village.
